the paper exchange will pick up all confidential material and destroy it immediately in our on-site shredding trucks.

• The Paper Exchange uniformed employees enter your facility and remove and secure your confidential information in secure locking toters and shred bags on a scheduled basis. We are the only people that have access to your locked containers.
• Your Material is than taken out to our On-Site shredding truck and immediately shredded using a pierce and tear method producing cuts no bigger than 5/8” in size. This method is equivalent to a cross-cut technique. After being shredded the paper is compressed in the back of the truck were it is mixed with tons of other shredded documents making it impossible to retrieve any information from the documents.
• Shredded contents of the truck are then dumped at our secure off site shredding facility on the North Side of Pittsburgh into our fully automated shredding system. Your materials are then grinded by the HF-7870 XR “Mega Destroyer” which is the largest one-pass top feed shredder in Cresswood’s product line, weighing in at 23,000 pounds. The end product is confetti like material that is shipped to paper mills for recycling.
• For security purposes our building does not have our name on the exterior. We have a state of the art intrusion detection system at our facility installed by one of Pittsburgh’s top security companies. There are security cameras on all points of access to our building.
• The Paper Exchange does criminal background checks and drug testing on all our employees. All drivers wear uniforms with photo ID security badges. Upon completion of the destruction we send you a “notarized certificate of destruction” for your records.
